A motion was made to join Sullivans Gulch NA (SGNA) and other NA to oppose a "Mens Club", strip joint and bar on NE Sandy & 30th Ave. Katie will write an article about this issue. The motion was seconded, and unanimously voted for.
Plaid Pantry has placed a request from the OLCC for 24 hour liquor sales. This is not allowed in the state of Oregon. Therefore GPNA took no stand/motion re: this issue.
Paige Coleman from NECN wanted to touch base. Will try to coordinate with her about attending a future meeting.
May want to review the cost of printing the newsletter 4 x/yr. NECN covers all costs for two newsletters/yr/NA. Otherwise GPNA pays for the costs associated w/ publishing the newsletter. Distribution is still an issue. Merryl has voiced her desire to step down as coordinator. We still need to clarify the costs of delivery service vs mailing costs for our newsletter.
NECN may be able to offer some assistance with maintenance and upkeep for our website?
Will be held May 15th, 2010 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Volunteers needed. Mary Cal will check with GHS to coordinate some volunteer help. Signs need to be distributed soon for the GPNA board members can distribute them. Cori Jacobs is the coordinator and is getting this all settled up.
GPNA is curious as to what is going on at Albina Fuel. Might need to check in the SGNA to get more info.
The Bev Cleary school will be having a fund raising event in the near future.
Meeting adjourned at 7:55pm
