The GPNA Meeting MinutesGrant Park Neighborhood Association In attendance:
The agenda was handed out, reviewed and unanimously approved as presented. The past 3 board meeting minutes were also passed out to all in attendance, reviewed. Motion was made to approve the minutes, seconded and unanimously approved. Mary Cal will send the approved minutes to Katie. Mary Piper from the Irvington Community Assoc. kicked off the discussion. In addition she is also the chairperson on the Historic district committee an wanted to educate us on the work being done to create a National Historic district of the Irvington neighborhood. This may include several homes that currently reside within the GPNA boundaries. She passed out maps and explained all the work her group has completed and the additional work that will be required to get this designation. Obtaining the historic district should not change the border of GPNA & ICA. They just need to notify us re: the original "plat" land area from when Ms Irving bought the property. Merryl would like to have changes made in how the newsletter is produced, packaged and distributed. She will coordinate this upcoming edition and then new arrangements must be made. Ron and Geoff will look into printing and using a mail service to deliver them. Brian @ NECN has the mailing database for GPNA. Gregg will still print the newsletter. Merryl motioned to approve a $100.00 donation to the kids at Fernwood cooking classes to fold, package and assist in coordinating delivery. Motion was seconded and approved. COMMITTEE REPORTS
