The Meeting was chaired by Michael Kinney

Liz brought in two citizen letters. These were read in full. The two citizens were concerned about how they felt the May 9th general meeting was run. Therefore at future meetings board members will assist the president to establish and maintain control over the presenters time period and the question and comment time.
Liz and Ron will draft letters of reply. Michael will review the letters prior to posting.
Questions about posting citizens letters on our website? Agreed that they could be posted if the committee okays it. (contact sender to see if ok to post, edit for content etc).
At future public neighborhood meetings the board members will set and monitor the time limits on presentations and the Q & A section. Michael will be the lead person at all meetings unless he is unavailable, then either Ron or Liz will be in charge. This info will be announced at each meeting and listed in the rules of meeting etiquette.
Time allotments will be set at the onset of the meeting and strictly enforced by the board members. Establish "Roberts Rule".
Pens and paper will be provided for the Q & A which can't be handled due to time limits.
These rules will be printed on the back of each agenda sheet as a reminder to community.

Open House: we'd like to have another open house which should coincide with the FGP Bowl project final application. GPNA will need 1 month to set this up upon receiving the final proposal from the FGPB project.
Weíd like s few board members to try and attend adjacent neighborhood assoc. meetings in the future in conjunction w/ FGPB to have the NA hear both side. Several board members did make it to the Beaumont-Wilshire NA mtg, Ron spoke and FGPB didn't make this meeting. We need to draft a letter to these NA to let them know how weíre proceeding w/ the process. These NA include: Alameda, Cully, Rose City, Irvington, Beaumont- Wilshire, Sullivan's Gulch.
Parks meeting: Re: FGPB Land Use application. This group has not submitted their final proposal to the City. The review process falls under a Title 33, chpt 815. One of FGPB requests is to try to improve the school site waiver, GPB is a city park and therefore doesnít fall under that option. Parks Dept. mentioned that the artificial turf wonít need a conditional review. The application will need to go through the Bureau of Developmental Service (including fire and transportation issues/concerns) before the process can proceed. Liz thinks this may take more than 1 yr to get through all the different departments involved.
Board members wanted to be reassured that the FGPB proposal wasn't being placed on the fast-track approval process. Since nothing has been finalized and board members are keeping a close eye on the goings on, so far things seem to be at a bit of a stand still. And that public employees are made aware that GPNA is not going to let the process be undermined
GNPA discussed writing letters to the mayor office, city counsel members, Park management about the GPNA concerns with the FGPB proposal and review process. Weíll hold off on these letters until further into the process. Weíll need to limit the number of people we contact and time it appropriately.
