In attendance:

Board Members in attendance:: Michael Kinney; Ron Laster; Elizabeth Beeghly; KC Davenport; Kathy Bang; Geoff Hyde; Merryl Mix
Board Members absent:: Mary Cal Hanson; Karen Lewis; Mike Heymann; Andy Mones; Sara Wild

The agenda for the meeting was reviewed and approved by all board members present

Last board meeting minutes: not in our possession. Unable to approve at this time, will delay approval until next general meeting.

Reports:

Treasurer: $10.00 expenditure since last report. Current balance = $2863.17. Nothing outstanding.
Grant Park Bowl Developments: nothing to report. The committee will convene a meeting next meeting, 1/10/07 at 7pm. Liz will send out an email.
Land Use:
37th/Hancock: fence & deck were built on the property line - adjustment was granted.
New Bank: @ Broadway and 37th? No news, but comment period has ended.

Safety & Livability: Office Quincy Ho not in attendance.

Grant Park Baptist church Condition use permit (GPBC CU): Ron reviewed issues from last general meeting-Hearings Officer granted an extension until June 27th. The GPNA board position is in the "holiday" 2006 newsletter-read. At the last general meeting, membership moved to have GPNA board withdraw support for the GPBC CU permit. Task force: formation had not been a motion, but a suggestion of neighbors. Offer to use "resolutions NW" if still needed, is available. Next task Force meeting will be 1/18/07 @ 7pm- Question if a board member should be a member on the task force. Discussion that the board representative (Liz, Merryl) should not be a member, but function as observers.

Mike K. will draft a letter for the board to review indicating the vote by the General membership opposing the GPBC CU permit.

GPNA Bylaws: will be voted on as the first order of business at the next General meeting.

Annual Clean up: Kathy Bang will head up the Clean Up this year. It will be on April 21st in honor of Earth day. Newsletter will need to g out early that month to get the information/announcement to the neighborhood.

-Newsletter delivery help is needed
-Keep it at 4 pages
-need more advertisers
-Publication date: to Katie by Jan. 19th, to Hall by Feb 1st
