2011 Neighborhood Clean-Up

There was a Neighborhood Clean Up on May 21st from 9am to 1pm, held in the parking lot of Grant Park Church, located at 2728 NE 34th Avenue. The cost was $10 per auto and $20 per pick-up and was intended as a service to people in the neighborhood.

There were drop boxes for general waste, yard debris, scrap metal, building materials and supplies, and for reusable household items.

Once again the weather was nice and this year 69 cars, 59 trucks/vans and 10 walk-ins took advantage of the service. We took in over $1575 in fees and donations, before expenses.

Thanks to all who participated or volunteered, and especially to Cori Jacobs for coordinating the event.
