| The next GPNA Board Meeting will be held on March 30, at 7:00pm, at the Grant Park Church.
Portland Public Parks has informed us that the City Council will vote on authorizing "Friends of Grant Athletics" to begin collecting funds for the installation of artificial turf in the bowl and baseball/soccer fields on April 14 at the City Council meeting. Eileen Argentina of PP&R has asked to present her departments position at our Board Meeting next Tuesday. I myself oppose it because of the lack of Public Involvement per the Park and City guidelines, the lack of study on the effects of artificial fields on the negative side and the current schools situation; not knowing if Grant will continue as a community school and tight funds in the system as a whole. I have asked her to come prepared to address these concerns. If you know of anyone with a high level of interest in this proposal, please invite them to join us at the Grant Park Neighborhood Association Board Meeting.
